DESCRIPTION:Protect your information. Support veterans.\nHave an old computer\, unused laptop\, or phone tucked away at home? Ahead of Veterans Day\, Call Federal is partnering with Tech For Troops to give members a convenient way to clear out unwanted electronics\, protect their personal information\, and support veterans and their families. \nJoin us Friday\, November 6\, 2026\, from 9 am–noon at our Chesterfield Branch. There is no cost to participating members\, and staff will help unload your items. \nWhat You Can Bring\nBring working or nonworking computers\, laptops\, phones\, and tablets. Review the accepted-item guidelines before gathering other electronics for donation. \n \nBefore You Arrive\nBack up anything you want to keep\nDonated devices will be wiped or destroyed\, so save important files\, photos\, and other information beforehand. \nLeave computer hard drives installed\nYou do not need to remove them before donating. \nUnlock phones and tablets when possible\nRemove account locks and deactivate devices so they have the best opportunity for reuse. Locked phones and tablets are still accepted\, but they will be destroyed. \nLet us help with unloading\nStaff will be available to assist with your items. \nWhat Happens After Drop-Off?\nTech For Troops will transport collected equipment to its facility for assessment and processing. Usable devices will be securely wiped for refurbishment. Equipment that cannot be reused will be shredded. \nData wiping and equipment destruction take place at their facility\, rather than at the event. Participants will receive a receipt for the items they donate. \nGive Your Technology a New Purpose\nYour unused electronics can help veterans and their families access tools for education\, employment\, and everyday life. By donating\, you’re helping useful technology find a second life and supporting responsible electronics disposal. \nLearn About Tech For Troops\n \nReview Tech For Troops’ general equipment donation guidelines for additional information. \nParticipation in this Call Federal event is free\, including collection and recycling.
