Helping Our Members In Times of Uncertainty

Back to Financial Insights

We are living in unprecedented times. Call Federal remains committed to the financial well-being of our members and to providing them resources as they navigate these challenges. If you are facing financial hardship, please know that you have options and we are here to explore them with you.

Here are some of the ways we are helping our members maintain their financial health through the COVID-19 crisis:

Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors  (CCUFC)

Our CCUFC team are always here to help guide you through uncertain times. They are trained to deal with all kinds of financial management and hardship in an encouraging and non-judgmental environment. Call Federal members are encouraged to email [email protected] or call 804-274-1200 to schedule an appointment for this FREE service.

Lending Options

If you need assistance covering expenses during this crisis, a short-term personal loan can help bridge the financial gap. We can offer these loans with flexible payment terms, with your first payment being up to 45 days from the date of your application.

Our Personal Lines of Credit are an option for members with a Call Federal checking account. Commonly used for unexpected expenses, a Personal Line of Credit allows you to advance yourself needed funds without fee, conveniently accessible via debit card, online banking, or by calling our member support team at 804-274-1200 during regular business hours.

If you have equity in your vehicle, a cash-out auto refinance can be another way to manage a financial hardship that comes with flexible repayment terms. Our lending specialists are ready and willing to assist you in determining if this option is viable for you.

Visa® Credit Cards

Our low rate, low fee, Visa credit cards can be very useful in situations where you want to maximize buying power without dipping into your cash reserves. You can apply online from the safety and comfort of your home.  We are now capable of issuing a credit card instantly in the branch or receive it by mail in a week or two.

For our current Call Federal Visa credit card holders, limit increases are now being handled on an expedited basis. If raising your spending limit would give you additional peace of mind during this troubled time, give us a call at 804-274-1200 or submit your request online.

Skip-A-Payment

If you have a Call Federal loan and are experiencing hardship during this time, our Skip-a-Pay program can be a great way to find some relief on your next loan payment. Branch locations can accept your skip-pay form via our drive-thru or they can be processed over the phone by calling 804-274-1200. You can download the form here.

As always, your financial well-being is of the upmost importance to us. We will continue to do everything we can for our members during this challenging time. For updated information on how we are here to further serve our members, visit our COVID-19 resource page.
