Richmond, VA (November 20, 2017) – Call Federal Credit Union Community Branch Manager, Monica Adams, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Swift Creek YMCA, part of the Greater Richmond YMCA.
Ms. Adams has 15 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to banking, she worked with the Goochland Powhatan Early Intervention Program, serving children with diagnosed disabilities and developmental delays. Adams has a passion for helping families and now, at Call Federal, works to change lives through coaching members to make healthy financial decisions. She has five children and resides in Chesterfield County.
Of her recommendation and selection to the Board, Adams offered, “I am honored to join such a great group of people and I am looking forward to finding how I can make a difference.”
The Swift Creek YMCA opened in August 2012 as the 17th location under the Greater Richmond YMCA umbrella. With 45,000 square feet of space, the center includes a gym, wellness center, children and teen areas, a child-care center and a pool. As of 2016, the Greater Richmond YMCA boast over 177,000 members and provided almost $6 million dollars in financial assistance to families and individuals through their Youth Development, Social Responsibility, and Healthy Living initiatives.
