Call Federal has promoted Cara Clements to the role of Vice President of Marketing and Financial Education, where she will be charged with continuing the credit union’s established legacy of serving their members with financial expertise and personalized attention. Formerly the Director of Marketing, Clements has stepped into her new role with enthusiasm for the work that she loves to do.
“I love being a champion for the Call Federal brand in the Richmond community,” she says. “Our legacy is one that I try to live up to everyday, building relationships that help people reach their goals and improve their financial lives.”
Elevating Clements to this role is a natural choice. As an active Rotarian and a member of the City of Richmond Treasurer’s Financial Empowerment Board, she embodies the credit union’s core philosophy of “People Helping People” and has always been focused on giving back to the community. Her volunteer efforts have also included serving as a Finance Park classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, being a member of the Community Support Team for Westover Hills Elementary School, and serving on the Richmond Volleyball Club’s board of directors.
In her new role, she will be the driving force behind bringing the warm and honest advice that Call Federal has traditionally been able to provide in person to more members by delivering messages through digital and social channels. Clements sees adapting this personalized level of service in an ever-changing environment as both a challenge and an opportunity.
“My goal is to lower financial stress for families in Richmond through the use of content, distribution channels, and other marketing tools,” says Clements. “I personally know, as many do, how desperate financial stress can make you feel, and I am passionate about making sure others don’t have to feel that way.”
A native of Indiana, Clements originally moved to Richmond after earning her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Economics from the University of Southern Indiana. Since that time, she has also earned her M.B.A. from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. She joined the team at Call Federal in January of 2016.
