Richmond, VA (August 3, 2017) – In a surprise result, Call Federal Credit Union came out ahead of conventional financial planning groups and was declared Richmond Magazine’s “Best” in the category for financial planning services.  Call Federal received this accolade in the 2017 edition of the magazine’s annual “Best and Worst” issue, in addition to being named “one of the Best” credit unions in Richmond. The magazine compiles surveys from readers to determine the winners in several categories.

“We are dedicated to helping our members improve their financial lives, we are honored that so many of our members have experienced that dedication enough to cast a vote for us.” said Cara Clements, Director of Marketing at Call Federal. “Thank you to all our members who voted for us.”

Call Federal has earned a reputation for helping its members create a brighter financial future with its “Money & Beyond” financial education program.  This program offers financial coaches located in every branch as well as workshops to help members build credit, create savings and plan for retirement. The most noteworthy aspect of Call Federal’s program is to provide Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors to assist members with credit and financial questions in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.

Call Federal offers these services as a complimentary benefit to members who want to improve their financial health. In addition, they partner with local employers to offer the Money & Beyond financial education program to their employees, at no cost.

“We understand that people sometimes just need answers or guidance on how to manage their financial issues,” said Clements. “We are passionate about helping people become financially independent and reach their financial goals”

They have recently furthered their cause with the launch of a new website.  This updated site delivers a financial insights blog to share team member experiences, as well as knowledge gained from their own personal journeys on the road to financial health.
