What do I need to provide to open a checking account?
To open a checking account, please bring the following:
- A valid DMV-issued ID with your current address.
If your ID has an outdated address, here is a list of documents you bring as proof of your current address:

- Current credit report pulled by CFCU (with no fraud/address flag alerts)
- Rental/lease/tenancy agreement
- Deed/mortgage contract
- Tax return dated within the past 12 months (filed with a tax professional)
- Voter registration card
- Vehicle registration
- Concealed carry permit (with raised seal)
- Current statement from another financial institution
- A signed and dated letter from a member in good standing stating that the applicant resides at that
current address (This would typically apply in the case of a person residing with a relative, partner or
close friend)
