Call Federal Credit Union is thrilled to announce that it has earned 2nd place for the prestigious Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award. This honor, which this year recognized credit unions in the state of Virginia, celebrates organizations that make a meaningful impact in their communities. Call Federal couldn’t be prouder of the efforts that have earned this recognition.
Over the past two years, Call Federal has proudly partnered with SOAR365 and PARK365, organizations dedicated to supporting individuals and families with disabilities. Through this ongoing partnership, Call Federal has:
- Supported the SOAR365 Summer Series for two consecutive summers.
- Supported the Ladybug Benefit Gala, raising funds for SOAR365’s Camp Baker located in Chester, Virginia to allow children to have a week-long adventure while caregivers receive respite.
- Hosted its Family Day at Park365, providing employees and their loved ones the opportunity to enjoy the park’s accessible and inclusive spaces.
- Worked with Better2gether to host their Annual Family Celebration at Park365, offering lunch, entertainment, and a fun-filled day for families to connect.
- Received the 2023 Community Partner of Choice Award from SOAR365, the first time this honor was offered to a new community partner.
Additionally, through a vehicle loan campaign in the Spring 2024, Call Federal proudly donated over $4,000 to SOAR365’s Day Support Program. These contributions have furthered their mission of providing life-enhancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The initiatives led by Call Federal have had a lasting impact, not only providing direct support to those in need but also raising awareness of the vital work being done by SOAR365 and other local organizations.
