Call Federal Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia, on Friday, March 20th. The facility now serves as the home for the credit union’s back-office operations and reflects Call Federal’s continued investment in its people, culture, and future.
Located in the heart of Innsbrook, the new headquarters places Call Federal Credit Union among a thriving business and community hub. The location reinforces the credit union’s commitment to collaboration, accessibility, and staying closely connected to the Greater Richmond community they proudly serve.
The credit union welcomed fellow credit union professionals, business partners, and community members for guided tours of the new space. Guests explored collaborative work areas and technology designed to support employees and enhance connections across teams.
The celebration concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring remarks from Call Federal Credit Union’s CEO, John West, and Chairman of the Board, Jim Horne.
“Member expectations and employee expectations have changed significantly, and we knew we had outgrown our Commerce Road location some time ago,” said John West, CEO of Call Federal Credit Union. “That’s why we looked for a new home—one that supports future generations of the Call Federal team as they innovate, collaborate, and work together in a space that truly reflects the culture I experienced on my very first day.”
Throughout the day, attendees reflected on Call Federal’s history through a slideshow showcasing the credit union’s growth. From photos of former CEOs, Roger Ball and Alice Pearce, alongside Richmond’s first automated teller machine (ATM), to images of new branch openings, renovated locations, and community events, the display highlighted Call Federal’s long-standing commitment to progress and community presence.
“This building allows us to get back to our culture of togetherness,” said Chester Gilmore, Chief Retail Officer at Call Federal Credit Union. “I’m looking forward to having everyone under one roof again—being able to walk into someone’s office, have a conversation, and truly interact as a team.”
